Waypoint Insights

About Us

landscape, mountain, clouds

One waypoint at a time.

waypoint (n): a stopping point along a journey.

We don't believe that there is ever meant to be a final summit to human experience. As leaders, we are always seeking to grow, develop, both externally through what we create in the world, and internally within ourselves.

Waypoint Insights was founded with this in mind. We aim to be your sounding board and trusted advisors, whether it is for a leg of your journey, or for the long haul.

She has served as an advisor for early stage startups, and has led the strategy and implementation efforts for scaling new teams, programs, and initiatives, with a sharp eye towards balancing speed with sustainable growth.

Dr. Bauer currently leads the coach development strategy at BetterUp, a technology-enabled human transformation platform, where she works cross-functionally as an internal consultant. Previously, she conducted research on digital health, blended care solutions, and mental health coaching at the National Center for PTSD.

In addition to consulting and coaching, Dr. Bauer enjoys designing workshops and public speaking engagements. Topics she is particularly passionate about include: emotionally attuned leadership, agility in the age of AI, and innovation in preventative mental health.

Most of the time, Dr. Bauer can either be found at home  snuggling with her cat, or out in the wild in the converted sprinter van she shares with her partner, where she enjoys rock climbing, backpacking, and watching the sun rise over a good cup of coffee.
